You may have noticed we made some updates to the platform when it comes to assigning your staff to shifts.
You can bring up the new assignment modal by selecting an empty shift from within an event.
The new assignment modal has an updated design. Along the left side, enhanced filtering allows you to be more precise. You can filter by things like...
Whether staff have a conflicting shift
How many hours staff are already confirmed to work during that work-week
Staff availability
Whether staff are your workers or staffing agency placeholders
Tags
The assignment modal's default sorting mechanism organizes your staff list based on quality and fit for the event. Staff who are preferred for the given client or venue will display at the top of the list, followed by your Level-1 staff, your Level-2 staff, and so on. For more information about how to set up staff Levels, see this article.
On the right side of the modal, you can seamlessly navigate to different shifts in the same event. Simply click on another shift to start taking actions.
Next to each worker, there are a number of actions that you can take:
Assign Worker. This is similar to penciling a worker into a shift. The worker will not receive a notification when they are assigned to a shift.
Request Worker. This action assigns and requests a worker to a shift. The worker will receive a request to work a shift and may accept or decline.
Manually Confirm Worker into this shift. This action auto-confirms a worker for a shift - the worker does not have the opportunity to accept or decline.
Expand View. This action allows you to see an expanded view which includes helpful details like the worker's schedule for the day, tags, worker rating, pay, qualified positions, and more.
