The Ultimate Onboarding Checklist

Step 1 - Uploading a Staff List and System Inputs

Nowsta can upload and import your full staff list to the platform for you, saving you the time and hassle of having to manually key in information for each member of staff! For Nowsta to be able to upload and import your staff list for you,  we require the file to meet some specific requirements.  This Staff List file can be created by your company using the following guide: Importing Staff Lists Overview

Step 2 - Assigning Role Managers

Do you have other administrators on your team that need access to the Nowsta Admin platform? Learn more about Assigning Role Managers here

Step 3 - Company Settings

Review your company settings page to make sure it aligns with your preferences. There are a number of different settings that you can customize - Learn more about Customizing Your Account here

Step 4 - Set Up your integrations

Learn about the integrations we offer and how to set them up here - Integrating with Caterease or Total Party Planner

Step 5 - Custom Files

Nowsta can create a Custom Time & Attendance or Payroll file for your company that can be uploaded into your payroll system or any other system or platform that accepts .csv file formats. Saving your staff the time and hassle of having to manually key in information that Nowsta is already tracking for you. Learn more about our Custom Files here  Custom Files Overview

Step 6 - Learn to set up Events!

Now it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty of Events, Shifts and Time Tracking!

Step 7 - Schedule your kick off call!

We’re sure you have some questions after working through the first 6 steps and we would love to assist! Please feel free to schedule a Kick off call with our Customer Support team who will be able to help you with any questions you  may have about the Nowsta Platform. You can schedule a call by reaching out to the Nowsta Support team at support@nowsta.com and we will send you a booking link to schedule a call at a time that suits you.

Step 8 - Once you are all set up and ready to launch Nowsta to your full team, we recommend you take several actions:


  1. Download the Nowsta Workers App and acquaint yourself with the Workers App FAQ so you can understand the platform from their perspective.

  2. Send an introductory email to your employees

  3. Invite or re-invite employees to the Nowsta App

These steps will give employees all the information they need to log in to their Nowsta account and set up their accounts.  

After completing these 8 Steps you will be ready to start using the Nowsta Platform to maximize your Workforce Management and keep everything running smoothly!
